Everyone is a thief in Delhi/Noida

delhi

Are you thinking of coming to Delhi/Gurgaon or Noida for a job or studies, I wont not recommend you to do so. Though called the metro cities they are not safe for anyone of us. The electricity is missing for hours. The people are really rude and aggregating to the problem, everyone is a thief see how my mobile was stolen by a bus conductor and his friends. I occasionally travel by bus. Today 30 Septem 2009, I was travelling with two of my friends from Sector 37 to Sector 10, (Bus number 33 from Sec 37 to Bhajanpura) during our way to the office at 14:00 hours. At a certain stoppage two thieves boarded the bus. As soon as the bus conductor saw these two guys, he was in a state of shock as if he knew the two, he asked them to board down immediately but they refused to get down for whatever reason. Me and my  friends thought they might be conductor’s acquaintance and he might be joking with them.

Suddenly the conductor comes to us and asks for our tickets obviously we had bought tickets but he insisted that we get down immediately and stopped the bus, saying that the amount we paid was less then what was required to reach sector 10. The two of his accomplice were standing on the back door of the bus and pushed us while we de-boarding  the bus. Somehow we managed to get down after the brushing with those two guys. We strolled towards our office when, suddenly I realized that my mobile phone was missing. Instantly the whole incident became lucid, that it was none other than those two friends of the conductor who deliberately brushed up against me must have stolen the phone. Though I got the sim card blocked immediately, I am yet to lodge a complaint(fir) against the bus conductor and his accomplices.

The main reason for writing to here is that, each day millions of people across Noida and Delhi travel by Blue Line buses if the conductors start abetting thieves, bus journey will no more be safe for us. I would like to warn  you that you should be more vigilant and alert during bus or metro journeys. And always use tracking softwares to track your mobile phone. One should always keep a lock on his phone so despite the fact it gets stolen no one can use it. Never keep your mobile phone in the upper pocket. Make sure you check your belongings as soon as you get down from a bus or metro.

I went to the police station at sector 20 noida, I made a FIR in english first they then said that write it in Hindi not to mention I have not written hindi since 7 years now, when I wrote everything in Hindi they started laughing at the FIR saying they have never heard such and amusing report, one cop told me rather then writing someone stole your mobile you should write it was lost because of your carelessness in the crowd, I understood he was not interested in taking up such a small case, I wrote the simple complain and handed over he was asking me to get a affidavit made for rs 100 I already know there is no affidavit made for a missing phone. I said I will get it made later he stamped the complain and I came back home you cant expect much from Indian police everyone from top to bottom in our judiciary is corrupt.

Remember everyone is a thief in Delhi. Donot trust anyone as in my case the bus conductor and the thieves were accomplice.
