Katie Couric is a popular American journalist and hosts shows like CBS Evening News, a correspondent for 60 Minutes, and host of @katiecouric which is a webshow on CBSNews.com.According to news source TMZ.com Katie Couric has not officially left CBS, but still the sources have been telling that she will be leaving it soon. According to people who know her closely, Katie Couric has no hard feelings against CBS and can stay with the network, still Katie feels she is confined to the role of CBS Evening news for long.
It’s said that Katie is interested in doing syndicated shows like talk shows and interviews. Sources say she’s in serious talks with CBS, NBC and CNN. Her reps are talking to ABC, but that’s a long shot.
Katie’s egress from CBS Networking Evening News is “not 100%” but her departuer is just moments away, sources say it will come in the next few weeks.
Katie’s plan is to start a syndicated show in September, 2012.
As far as front-runners, a Katie source says there are none — “Everything and everyone is in play.”
