The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is organized by the CBSE in India for admission to various under-graduate courses in engineering and architecture. Admission to the prestigious National Institutes of Technology is through this test.
Students opting for B.Tech or B.E. are tested in physics, mathematics and chemistry. The test duration is 3 hours. The maximum marks was 360, with equal weightage of 120 for each of the three subjects in 2007 (While Maximum marks was 540 in 2006). Students opting for B.Arch are tested in mathematics and an aptitude test. It is usually held at the end of April and results are announced at the end of May. Candidates are ranked on an all India basis and also according to their state. Thus, they have an All India Rank (AIR) and a state rank.

DA-IICT(Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Commutation) : 8,000

Thapar Institute, Patiala : 20,000(Punjab Quota) 13,000(Outside Punjab)
I really cannot say about the cutoffs of IIITs and Delhi College of Engineering.
