Archie’s Death 16th July in Life With Archie #36 Comics

Life with Archie #36 Death

Archie Andrews death will hurt us all, the famous comics character who has made us laugh not just through his comics books but through his animated series as well.
The main of authors is to gain more attention of readers by doing this, this is not the first time people have come across death of a comics character similar mishap has happened to characters like Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and the Flash. But as you all know they come back to life in some way or the other.

Archie had made an appearance about 73 years ago in 1941 and in July 2014 he will be killed. The issue number #36 named the Life with Archie will close the chapter of the comics. According to the CEO of the company, the reason behind the unexpected death is to “show what he means to the world.”

Release date of “Life with Archie #36” showing his death

Life with Archie #36 Death

The comics/magazine is supposed to hit the newstands on July 16th where Archie gives his life in order to save a friend from being shot. The cover of the comics has been released where you can see blood on his stomach while Betty and Veronica are holding, there is chaos every where and people are looking scared. This comics seems to be inspired from recent gun attacks at random places in the US.
In 2010 an issue of Archie’s marriage with Betty and Veronica went quite popular it seems this comics aims to do the same. It was the same series named “Life with Archie” which originally started in 1958 and ran till 1991 and revived in 2010.

According to Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater, “Each issue is normally split into two story-lines — one telling a tale of Archie married to Veronica another with him ending up with Betty. The final issue, however, will show readers Archie’s final fate in both timelines — and they’re the same,”.

According to Jon, this was the time to put an end to the series, he says it was “the natural conclusion” to the series.
He also added that “Archie dies as he lived — heroically,” “He dies saving the life of a friend, and does it in his usual selfless way. Archie has always been a representation of us — the best of us. Our strengths and our faults.”

More sad news hit the fans when Jon said that this isn’t “a random one off or what-if story” but a well through out storyline and unlike many other comics characters like Stewie from Family Guy, Archie Andrews is not coming back.

Archie’s Death will not end the comic series

The death of Archie Andrews does not mean the comics series will end or the franchise. According to the CEO the story will jump forward an year and will showcase of his friends and beloved people are moving along in his absence.

I personally feel this series won’t go very long though and since it is named the Life with Archie and Archie missing himself the chances of series moving ahead are slim.

Jon further added that the aim of Archie’s death is not to grab attention but to prove that why he is so important to his friends, and how a normal person like Archie can be heroic.

The Life with Archie #37 starts the story where it left of in previous issue, everyone was shaken in Riverdale. Once again people gather together and celebrate the Life of Archie.

Yes most of us and young kids will be saddened by the death of our favourite ever smiling hero but we should not lose hope and I am personally very sure he will be revived very soon in some other series.
