At times you will get an error while trying to open add remove programs in Windows XP either through control panel or through run command by typing appwiz.cpl the error says your add remove programs has been restricted please contact your administrator, here is the trick on how to resolve this issue.
Go to Start>run and type regedit. Press enter.
Navigate to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesUninstall
Click Uninstall to highlight it. Look in the right pane for this DWORD
NoAddRemovePrograms
If you find it, Right Click on it and chose delete from the pop up menu.
If the above option does not work and you dont find a key there then Navigate to this key and look for the same entry. Remove it if you find it.
