North Korean leader Kim Jong il passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 69, according to media sources. North Koreans were engulfed by grief as the nations capital Pyongyang mounded his loss. His son has called himself as the successor whom the North Koreans should now follow. Meanwhile the South Korean’s are on alret saying that the North tested a missile on Monday. It is said by Yonhap news agency that a short range missile was fired from the eastern cost of the nation. It is not clear if it is related to the death of Kim Jong il.
Even the national tv showed their emotional outburst as the announcer wearing black broke into tears when she said, he died of physical and mental over-work.
The KCNA later reported that he had died of a “severe myocardial infarction along with a heart attack” at 08:30 local time on Saturday (23:30 GMT Friday). He had been on a train at the time, for one of his “field guidance” tours, KCNA said.
According to the local news agencies, the funeral will be held in the capital Pyongyang on 28 December and Kim Jong-un would head the funeral committee. A period of national mourning has been declared from 17 to 29 December.
