Have you ever yearned for a phone that is literally shatter-free? Motorola has heard your request for a shatter-proof phone! Presenting the world’s first shatterproof phone – Moto X Force @ a price of 49,999 INR (32 GB) and 53,999 INR (64 GB), the phone is expected to make inroads in Indian market due to its rugged style. Sales start from February 8 in Amazon, Spice and Croma stores, coming in black, grey and white colour variants.

It features a 5.4 inch WQHD display, and is powered by Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB RAM. A massive 3760mAh battery that is sure to last a day’s rigorous schedule, users may find it a little disappointing that it is shipped with 5.1.1 Android lollipop update, when 6.0 update is on the anvil and with its pricey tag, 6.0 update should have been a natural choice to lure customers, weaning them away from heavily competitive mobile market in India.

The device has been an eye-candy for many drop test videos featuring in YouTube, and it has withstood quite a lot of tests, with screen withstanding quite a lot of stress. Unlike the glass make, the phone features a multiple-layer plastic that is arranged in the following manner, popularly called Moto Shatter Shield Technology:

A rigid aluminium core, is followed by an AMOLED flexible display which is especially made to absorb shock, and bends in event of a fall than break, dual touch layer, an Interior lens and an Exterior lens. The display comes with an impressive 4-year replacement warranty, should there be an accidental damage.

MicroSD support come with the phone with a 21-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera rounding off as phone’s crowd pulling features. Support for 4G LTE (Category 4) and Quick Charge 2.0 makes it a worth buy in its segment with its support for Turbo Charging.

The phone was launched in US by the name of Droid Turbo 2, and has been launched as the Moto X Force in India and other international markets.

SquareTrade, a company that provides extended-protection plans, tested the phone’s stress performance in the most unique manner – it ran a Range Rover SUV over the phone 10 times. Surprisingly, the screen still didn’t shatter, though parts of the display turned black!!
