Bigg Boss 20 Episode 53: Air Time
JioHotstar had it first, 9 PM on Wednesday 28 October, and Colors showed it later at 10:30 PM. We’re in Week 8 now of Salman Khan’s show.
The Week 8 Nomination Task
This week’s nomination task had a Ludo theme. The garden area was split into a red zone (unsafe) and a green zone (safe), with chairs on each side. Housemates in the red zone at the end would be nominated.
Before the swapping rounds started, Bigg Boss gave captain Mahhi Vij a special power to put five housemates straight into the red zone. Filmibeat reports she picked Amrapali Dubey, Manish Goel, Kanika Mann, Arishfa Khan and Love Gill. After that, housemates called up by the spin of a wheel could move people between the zones.
Love Gill Breaks Down Over ScoutOP
The emotional centre of the episode was ScoutOP nominating Love Gill. Love broke down in tears. What hurt more, she said, was that she had saved Scout earlier in the task even though he went on to nominate her.
Love also brought up something from the weekend. She was upset that Scout’s girlfriend, Kaashvi Hiranandani, had questioned her character on national television during her appearance, and she felt Scout had done nothing about it. Scout looked guilty. Yung DSA and Amrapali Dubey sat with Love and comforted her.
In the middle of all this, Yung DSA and Qazi Touqeer also got into a heated argument.
Who Is Nominated in Bigg Boss 20 Week 8?
When the task ended, six housemates were nominated for this week’s eviction:
- Love Gill
- ScoutOP
- Aasif Khan
- Kanika Mann
- Gullu (Kushal Tanwar)
- Amrapali Dubey
Times Now, India.com and Saam TV all report this same list of six. Some early posts on social media and a few fan sites carried longer lists, with names like Qazi Touqeer and Arishfa Khan, but those came out before the task was finished. The six above are the final nominees shown in the episode.
Amrapali Feels Let Down
After nominations, Amrapali talked to Love about how ScoutOP and Aasif Khan “ditched” her and saved other people instead. She then went to Gullu and asked him to promise his loyalty in the tasks coming up.
When Gullu told Kanika Mann about this, Kanika just laughed. Kanika also said she had worked out that Mahhi Vij had been playing only for Qazi Touqeer and Arishfa Khan.
Meanwhile, ScoutOP told Yung DSA that after the nomination drama, he wanted to keep his distance from Love.
Mahhi Vij Voted Out of the Captaincy Race
The next morning, Bigg Boss gathered the house and asked a simple question: did they like Mahhi’s captaincy?
Only five housemates backed her: Uditi Singh, Qazi Touqeer, Aasif Khan, Yung DSA and ScoutOP. Everyone else voted against her, so Mahhi was taken out of the captaincy race.
Amrapali was not happy that Scout and Uditi had sided with Mahhi. She pointed out that the whole mood had changed after the nomination task.
Qazi’s Advice and the Scout–Love Patch-Up
Later, Qazi Touqeer had a quiet chat with ScoutOP and pushed him to talk to Love at least once. Scout said he was confused by Kaashvi’s line about “cut her out”. Qazi corrected him. According to Qazi, Kaashvi never said “cut her out”. She said “cut out” and “maintain some boundaries”, which is a softer thing.
Scout took the advice. He found Love working out in the gym, asked if he could exercise with her, and even helped her fix her form. Then the two sat on a bench and talked.
Scout told her she was like a sister to him. Love asked him not to call her that. Scout replied, “Tum meri apni ho.” Love didn’t let him off that easily. Reminding him of how he had behaved, she said, “Tu gadha lag raha tha.” It ended on a lighter note than the episode began, but this relationship is clearly not settled.
Was Anyone Evicted in Episode 53?
No. There was no eviction in this episode. Evictions happen at Weekend Ka Vaar, and the six nominees now depend on audience votes. Filmibeat reports that voting for this week is open until 10 AM on Friday, 30 October.
Who Has Been Evicted From Bigg Boss 20 So Far?
As of episode 53, these contestants have left the house:

- Isha Rikhi
- Rhiti Tiwari (left mid-week)

That leaves 12 housemates: Amrapali Dubey, Aasif Khan, Arishfa Khan, Kanika Mann, Love Gill, Mahhi Vij, Manish Goel, Qazi Touqeer, ScoutOP, Uditi Singh, Yung DSA and Gullu.
What’s Next?

There is also a report from Telly Express, quoted by Mid-day, that the grand finale could be on 20 December 2026. The channel hasn’t confirmed this.
