In today’s time laptop has become old technology now people are mad over tablets whether it is ipad or the new BSNL tablet. There has been over 1 lakh pre order booking for the BSNL tablet. The tablets will be available in retail stores from March 1. BSNL which is a government organization in telecom sector. These are low cost tablets which are priced from Rs 3,499 to 12,500. The product is being manufactured from Noida based company called Pantel Technologies.Virendra Singh who is the managing director of Pantel Technologies, said that, “We have received more than one lakh pre booking orders over phone and online for the three tablets which we have launched in association with BSNL.”There has been 2 lakh orders from Sahara India. Their are 3 tablets by BSNL.
The entry level BSNL tablet Penta IS701 is a WiFi only device which operates on the google Android operating system. It is powered by 1 Ghz processor and 256 MB of RAM. The tablet has a HDMI port which will allow you to connect to a Tv. The tablet has a 7” inch scratch resistant touchscreen. with a 800×600 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.
Tablet has a 300mAh battery and 2GB internal memory which can further be increased by a micro SD card. The tablet has a front facing camera which allows video calling and chatting purpose.
On the other hand the mid-range tablet called Penta Tpad_ws704c has a 7 inch touchscreen it has similar specifications as the Penta IS701 part from having a 3G connectivity through a SIM card slot. It also has a inbuilt A GPS, accelerometer and a Bluetooth. The Penta Tpad has a 2 megapixel rear camera and 512 MB RAM.
The high end most expensive Penta Tpad WS802C has a 8” inch screen with a 3G and 2G connectivity SIM slot. It has the fastest processor in its category of 1.2 GHz and 512 MB RAM. The internal memory is 4GB. It also has a GPS, camera and Bluetooth are same as the 704C.
