Dussehra is celebrated as the festival of good over evil where lord Rama defeated Evil Ravana and the forces of darkness. Ravana a king of the Rakchasa meaning a monster who had abducted the wife of Lord Ram, Devi Seeta, after a war that lasted 13 days, Ravan was defeated and lord Ram was united with his queen.
