You must have seen the latest Airtel 4G ad, yes the 3G signals don’t work efficiently but Airtel has decided to go 4G the ad in which a girl bets with various users that 4G is better than 3G (where ever the signals come*) has been viral over the internet. The model in the ad is Shasha Chetri. She is one of the most searched young Indian model in today’s date. She is from Dehradun in Uttarakhand and has studied advertising from Xavier’s Institute of Communications, Mumbai and is 19 years of age. Her short haired style makes her look pretty though the ads run by airtel are not that interesting. Much like the IIN ad by Idea telecom, the airtel 4G ad has become more of a mockery on the internet.
The Airtel ad aims to target the younger audience who are using the mobile for browsing the web, as the 4G network claims to be faster than 2G, and 3G still much area of mobile network in India has failed to reach the places like the North-East, and the Northern states. I still feel the zoo-zoo ad by Vodafone was the best and still is great to watch.
